The state golf meet had rain issues on the first day of competition June 14.
Staples Motley golfers Hailey Koenig and Olivia Klefsaas teed off in the morning and nearly completed 18 holes, but were called off the course due to rain and lightning.
The boys golfers, who were scheduled to tee off in the afternoon, were delayed and barely started before the final rain-out. Cardinal golfer Andrew Israelson is in the boys field.
The state meet continued on June 15, after the Staples World went to press.
