Rose Lohman

Rose Lohman, 76, passed away March 9, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud.

No services will be held at this time. 

Rose Mary Blume was born on May 20, 1945, to Arnold and Esther (Bottin) Blume in Mountain Lake.  She married Wallace Phillip Lohman on September 13, 1980 at the United Redeemer Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, where they made their home. Rose worked for the University of Minnesota for many years, as a technician and then as a supervisor. Rose became a dishwasher for the nursing home in Zumbrota but soon became the head cook for several years before retiring in 1995. 

Wallace and Rose enjoyed traveling during their retirement, visiting every park in the state of Minnesota. They were given a plaque for all their visits. In 2018 Wallace and Rose made their home in Leaf Lake Township with Rose’s sister, Alice. Rose enjoyed working with flowers; between Rose and Wallace there was always a beautiful garden to enjoy. Rose also enjoyed cooking, baking and would put on a banquet for her family when they visited. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Left to mourn her passing are one brother, Leonard Blume of Aldrich; one sister, Alice Schoon of Henning; one sister-in-law, Barbara Blume of Grantsburg, WI; six nephews, Ed (Chris) Schoon, John (Shannon Baril) Schoon, Bill Blume, Jr., Joseph (Shannon) Blume, Guage Blume and Quinton Blume; two nieces, Peggy (Jamie) Isakson and Cindy (Tim) Odell; many grand and great-grand nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. 

Preceding Rose in death is her husband of 42 years, Wallace; her parents; one brother, Bill Blume and two nieces, Jennifer and Crystal Blume.
