NOTICE AND ORDER OF HEARING ON PETITION FOR FORMAL ADJUDICATION OF INTESTACY, DETERMINATION OF HEIRSHIP, APPOINTMENT OF PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

 

It is Ordered and Notice is given that on September 30, 2024, at 10:14 am, an administrative non-appearance hearing will be held in this Court at 221 1st Avenue South, Long Prairie, Minnesota, for the adjudication of intestacy and determination of heirship of the Decedent, and for the appointment of Cheryl L. Grenz, whose address is 10738 102nd Ave. N., Maple Grove, MN, 55369 as Personal Representative of the Estate of the Decedent in an UNSUPERVISED administration. Any objections to the petition must be filed with the Court prior to the hearing. If proper and if no objections are filed or raised, the Personal Representative will be appointed with full power to administer the Estate, including the power to collect all assets, to pay all legal debts, claims, taxes and expenses, to sell real and personal property, and to do all necessary acts for the Estate. 

Notice is also given that (subject to Minnesota Statutes section 524.3-801) all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the Personal Representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be barred.

Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. the Todd County Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing in the Commissioner’s board room, 215 1st Ave. South, Suite 301, Long Prairie, Minnesota.

NOTE: This meeting is again being held in-person and the public is encouraged to attend, but Zoom and phone options are still available for those who are unable to attend in person. If you wish to join via Zoom, please contact our office for the call-in information. Those who do attend in person can find parking atop the hill on the west side of the Historic Courthouse and enter through the north doors, near the American Flag and monument.

REQUEST FOR 

PROPOSALS

Freshwater Education District #6004, MN

 

Pursuant to MN Statue 471.6161, notice is hereby given that Freshwater Education District 6004, MN requests proposals for Group Term Life and Long Term Disability Insurance. 

Specifications will be available from the group’s agent of record, National Insurance Services, at 300 North Corporate Drive, Suite 300, Brookfield WI, 53045, phone 800-627-3660. 

Proposals are due no later than 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 to 300 North Corporate Drive, Suite 300, Brookfield WI, 53045 and as specified in the RFP.

Freshwater Education District #6004 reserves the right to reject proposals, waive formalities, and to select the proposal that best meets the group’s needs.

Criteria for the evaluation of proposals will be provided when the specifications are requested.

NOTICE OF 

APPLICATION FOR FEEDLOT PERMIT

 

Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Joe Varner, owner of J-V Feeders in Eagle Bend, has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency via County of Todd for a permit to construct manure handling components on a feedlot with 500 or more animal units.  

The existing feedlot is located at the SW/NE qtr., Section 1, Burleene Twp. Todd County, MN consisting of 999 head of stock cattle equating to 999 animal units housed in open lots and partial confinement buildings with scrape and haul manure handling and a holding pond. The proposed engineer designed manure handling components consist of pen mounds with scrape and haul manure handling, clean water diversions, scrape lanes, channels, settling areas, and diversions draining to two holding ponds from the open lots, feed storage areas, and partial confinement barns.  Animal numbers and units will remain at a total capacity of 999 head of stock cattle. The resulting work will be completed to reach full compliance with MPCA 7020 feedlot rules and Todd County ordinance. 

This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot construction as required by Minnesota State Law. Please contact the Todd County Feedlot program if you have further questions. 320-732-2644.

NOTICE AND ORDER FOR HEARING ON PETITION FOR FORMAL PROBATE OF WILL, FORMAL APPOINTMENT OF PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS 

 

A Petition has been filed in this Court for Formal Probate of Will and Formal Appointment of Nile Leroy Folin as Personal Representative, with full power to administer the Estate including the power to collect all assets, to pay all legal debts, claims, taxes and expenses, to sell real and personal property, and to do all necessary acts for the Estate, in a FORMAL, UNSUPERVISED administration. The Petition represents that the Decedent died on December 23, 2021 in Longview, Texas leaving an interest in real property in Minnesota and requests the probate of Decedent’s last will and testament and the descent of such property be determined and assigned by this Court to the persons entitled to the property. 

Any objections to the Petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper, and no objections are filed or raised, the Petition may be granted. 

IT IS ORDERED and Notice is given that the Petition will be heard in this Court on October 7, 2024 at 10:14 a.m. hearing at the Todd County Court Facility, 221 1st Avenue South, Long Prairie, MN. 

This will be an administrative non-appearance hearing. 

Notice is given that, subject to Minnesota Statutes Section 524.3-801 all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the Personal Representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be barred. 

A charitable beneficiary may request notice of the probate proceedings be given to the Attorney General pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 5018.41 subdivision 5. 

Notice shall be given by publishing this Notice and Order as provided by law.
