BARTLETT TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS

 

Please be aware of Minnesota Statue 160.2715 Right-Of-Way use; misdemeanors:

It is unlawful to obstruct any road or deposit snow or ice thereon; 

plow or perform any other detrimental operation within the road right-of-way (which includes dumping rocks, dirt or any other debris in the ditch);

erect a fence on the right-of-way. Any fence installed on the road right-of-way will have to be moved back out of the road right-of-way.

Any violation of this section is a misdemeanor.

NOTICE

OF AERIAL SPRAYING TO TAKE PLACE AT:

 

Staples Wildlife 

Management Area (WMA) in Todd County

 

Herbicide labeled for aquatic use will be used to control narrow leaf and hybrid cattail. The purpose of this treatment is to improve waterfowl habitat. Aerial spraying to occur between July 20 - August 15.

All affected public access points will be posted at time of treatment.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

 

Notice is hereby given that a special town meeting of the Villard Township electors will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 8 a.m., at the Villard Town Hall in Philbrook, MN for the following purpose:

To open and award sealed bids for the River Project in conjunction with the Motley Cemetery. Discussion of the River Project will be held at this time.  

All interested parties are encouraged to attend, but only town electors are authorized to vote at the meeting.

NOTICE OF MORTGAGE FORECLOSURE SALE

 

Date: June 24, 2019

 

YOU ARE NOTIFIED THAT:

1. Default has occurred in the conditions of the Mortgage dated June 12, 2014, executed by Henry A. Becker and Jennifer L. Becker, married to each other, as Mortgagors, to Compeer Financial, FLCA f/k/a AgStar Financial Services, FLCA, as Mortgagee, and filed for record June 16, 2014, as Document No. 489913, in the Office of the County Recorder of Todd County, Minnesota.  The land described in the Mortgage is not registered land.

2. The Mortgage has not been assigned.

3. The original principal amount secured by the Mortgage was $184,500.00.

4. No action or proceeding at law is now pending to recover the debt secured by the Mortgage, or any part thereof.

5. The holder of the Mortgage has complied with all conditions precedent to acceleration of the debt secured by the Mortgage and foreclosure of the Mortgage, and all notice and other requirements of applicable statutes.

6. At the date of this Notice the amount due on the Mortgage, and taxes, if any, paid by the holder of the Mortgage is $117,571.66.

9. The time allowed by law for redemption by Mortgagors or Mortgagors’ personal representatives or assigns is twelve (12) months after the date of sale.

Todd County Board of Commissioners 

June 4, 2019

 

Call to Order

The Todd County Board of Commissioners met in the Commissioner’s Board Room in the City of Long Prairie, MN on the 4th day of June, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Kneisl. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. All Commissioners were present.

Approval of Agenda

On motion by Kircher and seconded by Becker, the following motion was introduced and adopted by unanimous vote: To approve the agenda as presented with the removal of item 8.1 Resolution to Appoint Deputy Director for Emergency Management and addition of a new item 8.1 Wild Parsnip Spring Spraying - Noxious Weed Grant.

Consent Agenda

On motion by Erickson and seconded by Neumann, the following motions and resolution were introduced and adopted by unanimous vote:

To approve the Commissioner’s Meeting Minutes for May 21, 2019 as presented.

To approve a 1-Day Temporary On Sale Liquor License for the Long Prairie Lions Club for July 31, 2019 at 24257 Riverside Drive, Long Prairie, MN (Long Drive In).

To approve a 1-Day Temporary On Sale Liquor License for the Long Prairie Lions Club for August 24, 2019 at 24257 Riverside Drive, Long Prairie, MN (Long Drive In).

To approve the hire of Paul Perish as an Equipment Operator in the Solid Waste Department.

To approve to hire Aaron Gould as a part-time jailor effective June 4, 2019 at a Grade 6, Step 1.

To approve to hire Ty Klimek as a Seasonal Recreational Assistant effective June 4, 2019 with a wage of $12.00 per hour.

To approve Abbie Massmann to fill the open Social Worker position.

On motion by Kircher and seconded by Erickson, the following motion was introduced and adopted by unanimous Roll Call vote: To approve the Commissioner Warrants number (ACH) 400238 through 400251 in the amount of $2,505.48 and (Regular) 51579 through 51659 in the amount of $75,187.24 for a total of $77,692.72.

On motion by Neumann and seconded by Becker, the following motion was introduced and adopted by unanimous Roll Call vote: To approve the Health & Human Services Warrants number 515128 through 515153 in the amount of $56,225.99 and warrants number 705096 through 705158 in the amount of $59,344.40.

Planning & Zoning

On motion by Kircher and seconded by Becker, the following motion was introduced and adopted by unanimous vote: To revoke the old Conditional Use Permit (C20061003642) as per the conditions in the new Conditional Use Permit (CUP-2019-002) for Hollermann Dairy on PID 06-0022600 and PID 06-0022700.

Solid Waste

On motion by Erickson and seconded by Kircher, the following motion was introduced and adopted by unanimous vote: To sign the letter of support for CAP Grant and Bonding for the Solid Waste Facility.

On motion by Becker and seconded by Neumann, the following motion was introduced and adopted by unanimous vote: To schedule June 13, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. for the Solid Waste Spring/Summer Board Meeting at the Todd County Transfer Station.

Ditch/Ag Inspector

On motion by Becker and seconded by Kircher, the following motion was introduced and adopted by unanimous vote: To hire Central Applicators from Foley to spray wild parsnip in Township (Twp) road rights of way that have been identified as having wild parsnip, and to spray the Twp road rights of way that are surrounding the Palmer Amaranth fields. The total will not exceed $12,000. Any funds not needed to spray Twp rights of way will be used on wild parsnip in County Road rights of way.

The Auditor-Treasurer Office reported on projects in progress including the 2020 budget preparations.
