Pursuant to MN Statue 471.6161, notice is hereby given that Staples-Motley ISD #2170 requests proposals for Group Term Life, Long Term Disability, and Short Term Disability Insurance
Specifications will be available from the District’s agent of record, National Insurance Services, at 300 North Corporate Drive, Suite 300, Brookfield WI, 53045, phone 800-627-3660.
Proposals are due no later than 11 a.m. on August 12, 2026 to 300 North Corporate Drive, Suite 300, Brookfield WI, 53045 and as specified in the RFP.
Staples-Motley ISD 2170 reserves the right to reject proposals, waive formalities, and to select the proposal that best meets the District’s needs.
Criteria for the evaluation of proposals will be provided when the specifications are requested.

A reminder that the following township offices will be voted for at the State General Election to be held Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Candidates may file for these offices through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. You may call Ty Peterson, 703-209-2678 for an appointment or the office of the clerk will be open Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. located at 7969 65th Ave. SW, Motley, MN 56466. Candidates must complete an Affidavit of Candidacy and pay a $2.00 filing fee at the time of filing.

MAY Township Notice
of COMBINED OR SEPARATE Candidate QUESTION
May Township residents will see something new on the ballot this year. They have a choice to make: Should the township keep separate town clerk and treasurer positions or should they be combined to help save the township money. If you have any questions regarding this option, contact one of the supervisors or the clerk at 218-820-6430.
Ballot question: Option D - Combining Clerk and Treasurer
May Township has previously passed Option B - appointing the clerk and treasurer.
The May Township Board of Supervisors are now asking residents to vote on Option D - combining the positions of clerk and treasurer. Vote Yes or No on the ballot.
