FOR ELECTION TO THE SCHOOL BOARD

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the period for filing affidavits of candidacy for the office of School Board Member of Independent School District No. 2170 shall begin on August 2, 2022 and shall close at 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 16, 2022.
The general election to be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. At that election, three (3) members will be elected to the School Board for terms of four (4) years each.
Affidavits of Candidacy are available at the School District Office; 905 4th St. NE, Staples MN 56479; between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. on Aug. 16)
The filing fee for this office is two (2) dollars. A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from which the candidate seeks election for thirty (30) days before the general election, and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same (primary or next ensuing) general election.
The affidavits of candidacy must be filed in the District Office, and the filing fee paid, prior to 5:00 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

The following township offices will be voted for at the state general election to be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Candidates may begin filing for these offices on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 until Tuesday, August 16, 2022. The office of the clerk will be open from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. on August 16, 2022 for candidates to file.
Candidates must file at the Office of the Moose Lake Township Clerk, 5335 51st Ave. SW, Pine River MN 56474. Candidates must complete an affidavit of candidacy and pay $2.00 filing fee at time of filing.

WADENA COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
PETITION TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE #1
Notice is hereby given that on Thursday the 21st day of July, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Auditorium of the Wadena County Courthouse to consider a recommendation to the County Board of Commissioners for an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance #1.
The amendment, if approved, would allow an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), meeting prescribed performance standards, to be permitted administratively on a homestead parcel of land. The following Sections of the Zoning Ordinance would be affected:

A full copy of the proposed amendments can be found with the meeting agenda on the County website calendar at www.co.wadena.mn.us or may be obtained from the Office of Planning and Zoning. All persons interested are invited to attend said hearing and be heard on this matter. Written correspondence must be received by the Wadena County Zoning Office, 415 Jefferson St. S., Room 234, Wadena, MN 56482 before close of business the day of the hearing in order to be accepted and must include the full name and address of the person sending the correspondence in order to be accepted for presentation to the Adjustment Board at the public hearing. The correspondence may be submitted in person, by U.S. Mail, or by e-mail to the Zoning Office but it MUST include the required information.
