NOTICE is hereby given that the Staples City Council gave an ordinance its first reading amending the City’s deferred special assessment policy. The ordinance provides a process for the deferred payment of special assessments on homestead property for those facing a financial hardship. A complete text of the proposed ordinance is available at City Hall for public inspection.

The second and final reading will be considered at the August 23, 2016 Staples City Council meeting.

PUBLIC HEARING 

ON PROPOSED CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN

 

NOTICE is hereby given that the Staples City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Staples City Hall to consider the proposed 2017-2021 City of Staples Capital Improvement Plan. The Capital Improvement Plan is a plan for major expenditures, beyond maintenance and operating costs, for the acquisition or construction of facilities, public improvements, and major equipment purchases.

This hearing allows the public to provide input on the proposed Capital Improvement Plan. A copy of the proposed Capital Improvement Plan is available at the Staples City Hall for public inspection.
