Call to Order
The meeting was called to order with Members Winkels, Freeman, B. Anderson, Lund, Reeck and L. Anderson present (comprising a quorum). Also attending: Supt. Tappe; Business Services, Herdegen and Regan; Principals Johnson and Schmidt; several other employees and community members; representation from ICS, JLG, and Rapp Strategies; Staples World Managing Editor, Anderson; and Recording Secretary, Madson. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Motion by Lund, seconded by B. Anderson, to adopt the agenda. MC
Standards for School Board Leadership, which are provided by MSBA regarding the Role of the School Board, were distributed and reviewed. Standards include: Conduct and Ethics, Vision, Structure, Accountability and Advocacy and Communication.
Todd Rapp, of Rapp Strategies, went over appropriate roles for Board Members during a referendum. His presentation indicated that Board Members play two roles, School Board Member and private citizen, and they must be careful to keep the two separate. Members should be prepared for questions from the community.

“Due to the health pandemic and pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.021, until further notice, all school board meetings may be held by teleconference or other electronic means.”
Taking this action does not inhibit school board members from personally attending a school board meeting, it just provides notice that some or all of the school board members may be participating in the meeting from a remote location. M.S. 13D.021 does not require that a physical location for each school board member be posted.

March 15, 2021
Call to Order
The Todd County Board of Commissioners met in the Commissioner’s Board Room in the City of Long Prairie, MN on the 15th day of March, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Becker. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. All Commissioners were present with Commissioner Kneisl absent.
Approval of Agenda
Chairperson Becker reaffirmed the agenda as the one agenda topic provided.
Administration
On motion by Erickson and seconded by Neumann, the following motion was introduced and adopted by unanimous vote: To approve County Grant Relief Program grant awards as recommended by the Grants Committee in the amount of $236,399.
Adjourn
On motion by Neumann and seconded by Kneisl, the special meeting was adjourned.
On a motion by Neumann and seconded by Kneisl, the preceding minutes of the County Board meeting held March 15, 2021 were duly approved by unanimous vote at the Todd County Board of Commissioners at the Regular Board Meeting held on April 6, 2021.
