Shirley Johnson

Shirley A. Johnson, 83, of Anoka and formerly of Staples, passed away August 6, 2018 at her home.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Staples Alliance Church.

Funeral services were held August 11 at Healy Funeral Chapel in Aurora, IL.  

Interment was at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora.

Arrangements were by  Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home of Anoka and Healy Funeral Chapel of Aurora.

Shirley was born January 13, 1935 to John and Meta (Christensen) St. Clair in Aurora, IL. She married Russell Johnson on April 12, 1958. She was a dedicated nurse, cared for animals, loved to study her Bible and most of all, passionate about her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Kari Stephens and Sue Johnson and one son, Paul (Tammy) Johnson of Staples; six grandchildren, Dan, Jon, Ben, Claire, Sydnie and Jonah; one sister, Evelyn Lawrence; beloved dog, Molly; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband  and an infant brother, George.
