Shirley Jean Uselman

The Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley J. Uselman, of Wadena will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena, with Father Gabriel Walz as celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with Rosary at 9:45 and visitation will continue until the time of the Mass.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wadena.

Shirley, 81, passed away  October 20, 2023, after a short stay at the Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples.

Shirley Jean Seidl was born to Roman and Rose (Spahn) Seidl on February 17, 1942, in Wadena.

Preceding Shirley in death were her husband, Richard (2007); parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Paul and Julia Uselman; sister-in-law, Judith Wiirre and brother-in-law James Reed.

Deeply loved, Shirley will be remembered by her children: Tammy (John) Haglin of Maplewood; Monica Nelson of Hugo; Rick Uselman of Wadena; Dan Uselman (Emma Flanigan) of Bluegrass; Jenny (Kyle) Braith of Staples; and Nicole (Mark) Lunde of Wadena; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters Pat (Dennis) Truax of Big Lake and Mary Reed of Bellwood, PA; brother-in-law Bruce Uselman of Wadena; along with a host of extended family and friends.
