Robert Manning

Robert Ellis Manning, 75, of St. Paul, formerly of Staples, passed away August 12, 2017 at Highland Chateau Hospice. He succumbed to colon cancer.

Robert was born on March 25, 1942 in Detroit, MI to Everett Newton and Hannah (Balfe) Manning. He graduated from Staples High School in 1960 where he participated in various activities. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Klimek, November, 1969 at Sacred Heart Church in Staples. Robert was a veteran of Vietnam and Desert Storm, he loved his children, grandchildren and horses. He was known for sharing a joke and living life his way.

He is survived by one daughter, Shari Ann; one son. Robert; four grandchildren and twin brother, Ronald, of Palm Springs, CA.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; one  brother, Art, of Staples and one sister, Ann.
