Robert Lenk

Robert James Lenk, 68, of Browerville, passed away May 7, 2023, at his home.

A memorial service will be held Monday, May 15 at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home in Staples. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples. 

Robert was born September 9, 1954 to Joseph and  Christine (Etzler) Lenk in Staples. 

Robert married Gayle Lee on November 24, 1979 and together they had two sons. Robert worked as a tool and die maker for McKechnie in Staples for 44 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, traveling, camping, motorcycle trips, farming, deer hunting and tinkering on projects. He was an avid tractor and gun collector. Robert ,was smart designing and building their family home. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 43 years, Gayle; two sons, Michael and Matthew (Lianna); two grandchildren, Lilianna and Tobias; one brother, Jerry Lenk; two sisters, Adeline Jasken and Linda Barke; one brother-in-law, Douglas (JoAnn) Lee; two nephews, Bernard Jasken and Nathan Thiesse and one niece, Tiffany (John) Lynn.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Doris and Eldon Lee; one infant sister, Barbara; one brother-in-law, David Lee and one nephew, Quinten Thiesse.
