Robert Erickson

Robert “Bob”  Endon Erickson, 68, of Staples, passed away unexpectedly, November 13, 2017 at his home. 

Services were held Nov.  18 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with Father Joe Korf officiating. 

Interment with Military Honors was held Nov. 21 at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples.

Bob was born January 14, 1949 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Lowell and Irise (Sarff) Erickson. He grew up in a Military family and graduated from high school in Germany. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for five years. Bob was united in marriage to Kathryn Mary Williams on July 26, 1975. Bob worked for many years at Williams Floral in Staples. After retiring, he began driving school bus, which he loved. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, sportsman’s club, camping, shooting at the rifle range and spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife; two daughters, Sara (Jeremy) Klomp of East Gull Lake and Erin (Travis) Lynch of Staples; two sons, Rory Erickson and Liam Erickson, both of Staples; six grandchildren; one sister, Karen (Frank) Longworth; three brothers, Dennis (Cheryl) Erickson, Keith (Carol) Erickson, Mark (Tonya) Erickson and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.
