Ramona Randgaard

Ramona Mae Randgaard, 90, passed away May 12, 2023, in Sauk Rapids. 

Funeral services were  held May 19, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church in Staples. 

Interment was at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples. 

Ramona was born October 11, 1932 to William J. and Alice M. Buckner in Benson. She attended school in Benson and graduated from Benson High School in 1950. She married James D. Randgaard on July 4, 1954 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson. 

Ramona was employed by Staples ISD #793 for 23 years. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud and a past member of Faith Lutheran Church in Staples; the Staples Lioness Club and Orchid Chapter #94, Order of the Eastern Star, Staples.

Ramona is survived by two sons, David Randgaard and Steve (Wanda) Randgaard, both of Lake City; one granddaughter, Kendra Randgaard of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Robert (Judy) Buckner of Benson; one sister, Laurel Johnson of Twin Valley; two brothers-in-law, Rev. Martin Langemo of Princeton and Roger Randgaard of Staples and several nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Allen (Glenita) Buckner and Donald Buckner; sister and brother in-law, Beverly and Marshall Skaalrud; mother and father-in-law, Hazel and James G. Randgaard, one sister-in-law. Carol Langemo and two brothers-in-law Richard (Lucy) Randgaard and Daryl Johnson.

Arrangements were by the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
