Nyla Lambert

A celebration of the life for Nyla Lucille Lambert, of Staples will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m at Pine Grove Park, Staples.

Nyla died Feb. 1, 2019 at the age of 85. 

Nyla was born to Lyman and Nina (Olson) Stafford in Bertha on Feb. 8, 1934. She married Darrel W. Lambert on June 3, 1953 in Aldrich Township.

The couple had seven children, Donald (Mona) Lambert of Staples; Darrel Lambert, Jr. (friend Heidi) of Staples; David (Deb) Lambert of Shakopee; Diane (John) Black of Nershand; Debra (Greg) Lyman of Fairbault; Denise (Pat) Trettle of Staples and Duane Lambert (friend, Christie) of Williston, ND. 

Nyla is survived by her children; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ethel Ostrum of Rio Vista, CA and sister-in-law Delores Horn of West Fargo, ND.

Nyla was a member of the Congregational Church in Staples and the VFW 1910 Women’s Auxiliary. Her hobbies included crcheting, gardening, camping and playing bingo.

She was preceeded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Blain and Raymond and two sisters, Rikka and Bernieva.
