Nancy was born January 13, 1945, in Staples, to Charles Frederick Zimmerman and Lorraine Regina (Leifermann) Zimmerman. Nancy grew up in Motley, where her roots and education were as a Motley Rocket, graduating from Motley High School with the Class of 1963.
Nancy had a lifelong passion for fashion, hairstyling and interior design. She owned and operated Nancy’s Boutique, a women’s clothing store, with her flagship location in Staples for 25 years. During that time, she served customers through satellite locations in Breezy Point, Wadena, Pequot Lakes and Brainerd. Through a family partnership, she also became a manager and part owner of Brothers Three Furniture.
Nancy was always eager to take on new projects, whether remodeling a home or giving friends and family a fresh hairstyle, perm or haircut. In retirement, she embraced a more flexible lifestyle, enjoying weekend flea markets in Monticello and Annandale, bartending, and refurbishing and reselling homes. Affectionately known by many as “Fancy Nancy,” she brought creativity and style to everything she did.
Nancy is survived by her children from her marriage to William A. Collins: Billie Jo (Douglas) Rach of Breezy Point and Anthony Collins of Monticello.
She is also survived by her children from her marriage to John J. Sadusky: Scott S. (Sandy) Sadusky of Nisswa; Laura Sadusky-Smith of Merrifield; Robert (Shelby) Sadusky of Inglis, Florida; Terrie (Ole) Dalgaard of Holte, Denmark; John J. (Jan) Sadusky, Jr. of Minneapolis; Carol (Garth) Hermanson of Chicago, Illinois; Nancy (Bryan) Krantz of Brainerd and Kim (Tom) Knudson of Grand Marais; one brother, Charles (Joyce) Zimmerman of Staples as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
