Marsha Achermann
Marsha Kay Achermann, 70, of Darby, Montana, passed away on July 13, 2025, surrounded by her husband and children.
A graveside service will be held on August 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Darby Lone Pine Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:30 p.m. at 100 Sunrise Drive, Darby, MT - a day to remember, honor and celebrate the incredible woman she was.
Marsha was born December 30, 1954, to Lowell and Arelene Thompson in Sioux City, Iowa.
She grew up in Nebraska and Minnesota and graduated from Staples High School. She married Michael Achermann on June 30, 1975 and together they raised four children in Leader and Motley, before moving to Darby in 2005.
Marsha earned a teaching degree from Bemidji State University in 1995 and enjoyed teaching students across Minnesota, Texas and Montana. She also worked alongside her husband in construction, proudly earning her CDL to drive a water truck. A skilled seamstress and crafter, Marsha turned her talents into a business, sharing her work at craft fairs and farmers markets.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Achermann; three daughters, Susie (Joe) Brichacek, Sarah (Jason) Moen and Heidi Duerr,; one son, Josh (Sara) Achermann; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her mother, Arelene Thompson and four siblings, Dee Thompson, Jim (Vickie) Thompson, Brenda (Tim) Huwe and Dan Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her father and father-in-law, Peter Achermann.
