Marjorie Perkins

Marjorie Rose Kasper Perkins, 85, passed away August 9, 2024 in the arms of her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held August 13 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Dilworth.

Burial was in Hawley Cemetery.

Marjorie was born September 23, 1938 to Matthew Wiliam and Julia Rose (Dukowitz) Kasper in Long Prairie. She was the fourth of eight children. She married William Feakes on September 1, 1956 in Motley and they had seven children. On May 18, 1975, she married Kenneth Raymond Perkins and they made their home in Glyndon.

Marge was a woman of many talents. She worked in commercial loans, retiring from Norwest Bank/Wells Fargo. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, making her children’s clothes for many years and winning numerous awards year after year for her quilts. Her quilts live on with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed canning, gardening, tending to her flowers and animals. Her love of animals has been passed down through the generations.

Although Marge had many hobbies, her greatest love was family. She could spend hours rocking her grand and great-grandchildren and was present at most concerts, sporting events, school events, church events, modeling shoots and anything else they did. She was their biggest cheerleader.

Marge had another passion, traveling, having visited several countries and almost all of the United States. She was always up for an adventure and could be found ziplining, sledding down sand dunes, flying through a ropes course, kissing the Blarney Stone, deep sea fishing, hunting, backpacking through the mountains of Wyoming, horseback riding, riding camels in the Holy Land and donkeys in Mexico. She was legendary for all the 5K and 10K races that she ran with her last race at age 78.

She is survived by four daughters, Donna Jean Harper of Brandon, Nancy Jo Salter, Susan Marie Feakes and Julie Lynn Grubb (Phillip), all of Glyndon; one son, Steven Craig Feakes (Gloria) of Fulshear, TX; one sister, Lorraine Fornshell of Portland, OR; three brothers, Mel Kasper of Moorhead, David Kasper of Grand Forks, ND and Jim Kasper of Ortonville; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth Perkins; one daughter, Debra Ann Reynolds; one son, Robert William Feakes; one grandson, Micheal Brody Feakes; two great-granddaughters, Norah Ann Eddy and Agatha Grace Eddy and three sisters, Deloris Kullman, Mary Ann Smith and Loretta Panko.

Memorials are preferred to Ethos Hospice of Fargo.
