Marie Goff

Marie Irene Goff, 88, of Brainerd, passed away  December 28, 2017, at Central Minnesota Senior Care in Brainerd. 

Mass of Christian Burial was held Jan. 3, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples with Father Joe Korf officiating. 

Interment was at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Chapel, Staples.

Marie was born April 8, 1929, to William and Mary (Heffernon) Plautz, in Wadena. She graduated from Wadena High School. She married Robert Oldenburg in 1949, they had three children. Following his passing in 1963, Marie married Darwin Goff, in 1966. Marie worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, bird watching, plants, flowers and ceramics.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Baier, of Baxter and Susan Thelen, of West Richland, WA; one son, Gerald Oldenburg, of Pillager; one sister, Doc McDonald; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; four brothers, Louis, John, Charles and James and two sisters, Dolly and Mary Ann.
