Lillian was born March 28, 1931, to Venda and Bertha (Poul) Kral in Brainerd. She grew up in Meadowbrook Township, southern Cass County where she attended local country schools. Lillian graduated from Motley High School in 1949 as Valedictorian of her class.
Lillian married Allen J. Rollins on July 25, 1949 and they remained married until his death in June of 2012. Lillian and Allen built their farmstead in Meadowbrook Township and at one point, resided in Alabama when Allen was stationed at Fort McClellan.
Lillian wore many hats and had many roles in the community as well as with her family. Some of the more professional titles she held included clerk of the Motley School Board, lookout for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources fire towers, Sunday School teacher, income tax preparer and census taker.
Lillian was proud of these roles but valued being a wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother the most. She valued her friends dearly and always had coffee and lunch ready for anyone who stopped. Lillian had many hobbies including gardening, deer hunting, snowmobiling, baking and working on the farm. Always being thankful for life and family, Lillian was asked this Thanksgiving what she was most thankful for. She said, “Everything”.
Lillian is survived by one son, Scott (Darlene) Rollins of Motley; one grandson, Andrew Rollins of Motley and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Allen.
Arrangements are by the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
