Lavina Davis
Lavina M. (Amundson) Davis, 93, of Edina and formerly of Woodbury passed away May 12, 2022 in Edina.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. May 23, at CrossPoint Church Bloomington, 9801 France Ave. S., Bloomington. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Lavina was born Otober 20, 1928 to Eddie and Laura Myrtle Amundson in Long Prairie. She graduated from Staples High School in 1946. She graduated from Wheaton College in 1953 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She married her beloved Garland Davis in 1954. She worked as a computer programmer for many years with IBM and Allianz. Lavina was an active member of her church families and devoted to her faith in Jesus.
Lavina will be deeply missed by her daughter, Kirsten (Inaki Baquedano) Davis; one brother-in-law, Raymond Garland and one sister-in-law, Doris Amundson, both of Staples; nieces, great-nieces, nephew, great-nephews, cousins and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Donald Amundson and one sister, Helen Garland.
Memorials preferred to Alzheimer’s Association, NARFE or CrossPoint Church.
Arrangements were by Wulff Funeral Homes, St. Paul and Woodbury.
