Jody Boedigheimer

Jody Boedigheimer, 65 of Lincoln, passed away peacefully February 9, 2024 at her home. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Motley, with Father Lauren Germann officiating. Visitation will be held Fri., Feb. 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls and on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Motley. 

Jody was born September 14, 1958 to Alex and Winnie Boedigheimer in Little Falls. She attended grade school at Lincoln Elementary School, District 76, kindergarten through sixth grade being a part of the last class prior to the school closure. Jody went on to graduate as salutatorian from Motley High School with the Class of 1977. She attended St. Cloud State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in education. Jody’s first job was sorting and packing leeches, advancing to dishwashing at the Lin Club and worked as a waitress. Jody started her teaching career as a substitute teacher in Clarissa and Little Falls until she was able to obtain a full time position in the Little Falls School District. She continued to teach until retiring from full-time in 2021. She continued to sub until the time of her death. Jody was an avid reader and passed on many books to family and friends. She loved the lake, especially swimming and was always the last one out of the water. Jody enjoyed traveling and see new places, planting flower gardens and seeing them bloom. She loved to bird watch and fed them faithfully along with her much loved pets. Jody was a member of the Lincoln Lakes Ladies Aide, was the current treasurer and was an active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Motley and on the funeral committee. She belonged to the local ADK. Jody was a loving and caring sister  always putting Jane’s interests first. She was an amazing and generous friend to many., was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Jody is survived by twin sister, Jane Boedigheimer of Lincoln; bonus siblings, Liz Pritchard of Lakeville  and James Dvorak of Centerville, VA; aunt and uncle, Jane (Kerm) Severson of Burnsville; aunt, Betty Boedigheimer of Colorado Springs, CO and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Arrangements are by the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
