Jeffrey Sampson
Jeffrey Peter Sampson, 58, of Stacy, passed away at his home in the arms of his family on January 11, 2023.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Motley Free Methodist Church in Motley. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
Jeff was born December 20, 1964 to Gordon and Yvonne (Scheid) Sampson in Wadena. He graduated from Motley High School and went on to earn his Master’s degree in Finance, Economics and Computer Science at St. Cloud State University, and the University of Minnesota. He married the love of his life, Gina Freese on August 22, 1987.
Jeff was a very loving and compassionate man. His family was most important to him. He loved gathering around the campfire with good friends, family, his dog Sweetpea and a cold Spotted Cow. Jeff enjoyed coaching baseball, soccer and loved watching his kids at their school activities and sports. He took pride in caring for his home and yard. Jeff looked forward to his bi-monthly trips to Wisconsin for his favorite drink, a Spotted Cow.
He worked at Wells Fargo for 30 years, and will be missed by his Wells Fargo family in Minnesota and North Carolina. Jeff will be remembered for his infectious smile, contagious laugh and good heart.
He is survived by his wife, Gina; one son, Cameron (Mirella) Sampson; one daughter, Sydnie Sampson; best friend Jimmy Atkinson; mother, Yvonne Sampson; one sister, Debbie (Brian) Haataja; two brothers. Gary (Nancy) Sampson and Robert (Lorri) Sampson; one brother in-law, Jerry Freese; one sister in-law, Gloria Freese; many nieces, nephews and extended family; seven kitties and his dog, Sweetpea.
Jeff is preceded in death by one grandchild, August; father and grandparents.
Arrangements are by Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
