Ida Klappenbach

Ida M. Klappenbach, 95, of Lindstrom, and formerly of Staples, died December 2, 2017, at Greeley Estates in Stillwater. 

Services were held  Dec. 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Staples.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Chapel, Staples.

Ida was born March 3, 1922 in Round Prairie to Walter and Emma (Bristlin) Schmidt. She married Edward Klappenbach on April 22, 1942 in Staples. Ida was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Staples. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a member of the Country Garden Club, TLC Ladies Guild and the quilting club. Ida was awarded ribbons for her hardanger, quilting, and gardening. 

She is survived by two daughters, Diane John of Lindstrom and Karen Weber of St. Paul; one son, Dayle Klappenbach of Stillwater; eight grandchildren;  seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Cecelia Weber of Brooklyn Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Kathryn (Kaye); grandparents; three brothers, Paul, Ken and Lloyd; one sister, Ellen.
