Howard Webster

Howard Dean Webster, 83, passed away August 1, 2022.

A graveside service will be held at the St. James Cemetery in Philbrook at 11:00 a.m. on September 17.

Howard was born December 24, 1939 to Forrest and Nellie (Hedglin) Webster in Detroit Lakes.

In 2005, he bought a diner in Webster, SD which he successfully operated until 2018.

Howard enjoyed collecting antiques, building and remodeling houses, fishing, playing cribbage and helping his friends and family. He had an amazing work ethic and was ambitious. Howard was loved and admired by many.

He is survived by two daughters, Becke (Albert) Szczubiala and Nancie Webster, both of Las Vegas, NV; three step-daughters, Jackie (Daniel) Anderson of Bradley, SD, Renae (Patrick) Hill of Seattle, WA and Melissa Schwarz of Columbus, GA, 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in Minnesota who affectionately called him “Unc”. He will be greatly missed by all of his family.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Carol (Mudick) of Philbrook; wife, Lucinda (Anderson) of Bertha; four brothers, Gerald, Bob, Gordon, and George Webster and one sister, Fern (Webster) Branchaud.
