Howard Eisel

Howard “Gene” Eisel, 87, of Motley, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2022. 

Private services will be held. 

Howard was born March 28, 1934, to Joseph and Mary Lou (Knowlton) Eisel in Brainerd. He married Diana LaFontaine in 1966 in South Dakota. He enjoyed trucking, metal work, deer hunting, fishing and traveling. He will be missed by all who knew him. 

He is survived by Diana, his wife of 55 years; seven children, David (Kellie) Eisel, Theresa Eisel, Paul Eisel, Eugene Eisel, Jr., Julie (Jerry) Jarsak, Richard Eisel and Judy Sommerfield; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and three brothers Robert, Donald and Joseph. 

Howard was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements are by the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
