Helen Jensen

Helen Marie Jensen, 90, of Staples, passed away May 26, 2023, at Lakewood Health System, Staples.

Services will be held Saturday, June 10 at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home in Staples. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Moran Cemetery. 

Helen was born December 6, 1932, in Hource, Nebraska to Burt and Doris (Pouge) Johnson. She married Kenneth Jensen on February 19, 1949.

Helen was blessed with an incredible sense of humor. Her family was her whole world and she loved all the babies and little ones. 

Left to cherish her memory are six children, Kenneth Jensen, Jr., Deanna (Dennis) Page, Robert Jensen, Sr., Keith (Jane) Jensen, Lisa (Garry) Poynter and Missy (William) Bartkowicz; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle (Ron) Skolil and one brother, Pete Johnson.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Ken; two sisters, Betty Jensen and Patty Jensen; one brother, Bill Johnson; one grandson, Douglas Jensen; one great-grandson, Tristen and one great-great-granddaughter, Jolee.
