Heidi Ann Packer
Heidi Ann Packer, 43, of Aitkin, passed away November 15, 2025.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Riverwood Health Care Center (Room C & D), Aitkin.
Heidi Ann Rach was born May 16, 1981 to Dennis George Rach and Anna Mae (Kozitka) Rach in North Dakota. She formerly lived in Staples.
Her senior year of high school, she moved to Aitkin. Her first son, Hunter Otto Rach was borth April 15, 2002. At the same time, she began working at Aicota Healthcare Center. She met Jori, her future husband, but the only way she could get him to talk to her was to trap him. She finally get him to talk to her and they moved in together, buying a house in Palisade. Jori finally proposed to Heidi and they were married August 18, 2007, in Aitkin. On September 15, 2008, their son, Alexander Lee Packer was born. Heidi enjoyed living the simple life - fishing, four wheeling, crafting and crocheting. In 2021 she went back to work at Riverwood Healthcare Center as a food service technician. She loved the job and the people she saw and helped daily, deciding this would be her career. In 2024 she found out she had kidney disease and started dialysis. That same year she suffered a stroke, which slowed her down a little, but she didn’t give up. Following the passing of her dad in August 2025 they moved to Aitkin. She made many plans as she felt her life was finally starting to move forward. Heidi and her heart of gold, will be dearly missed by the many people who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jori Joe Packer; two sons, Hunter Rach-Packer and Alexander Lee Packer; one brother, Chad (Erin) Rach; brother-in-law and sister-in-laws, Jami and Tammy Packer, Jerod and Lori Packer; mother- and father-in-law, Barb and Warren Packer; nine nieces and nephews, Spencer and Emma Packer, Sebastion Packer and Allie Rinta, Brittany Packer, Maddi and Anton Kalk, Paige Packer and Madelyn Rach; great-nieces and nephew, Elizabeth and Samual Packer and Myelin Kalk and many friends and relatives.
Heidi is preceded in death by her parents; one aunt, Nancy Holler in 2002 and her grandparents, Alfred and Lorraine Rach.
