Greg was born January 8, 1954, to Frank and Olga (Peterson) McGillivray in Morris.
Greg was a man who found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether he was mowing the lawn, casting a fishing line, or working on a woodworking project. He had a knack for keeping busy and also enjoyed slowing down to work on puzzles. An avid John Wayne fan, Greg appreciated a good Western and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings, or watching college football.
Above all, Greg treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Whether sharing stories, enjoying time together, or simply being in their company, those moments held a special place in his heart. His love for his family and the memories they created together will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Greg is survived by his loving wife, Debby; three children, Chris McGillivray, Darci (David) Odden and Travis (Ashley) McGillivray; four cherished grandchildren, Bennett, Braxton, Madelyn and Levi; one brother, Dave and his beloved companion, Sadie.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lacey Jo; parents and six siblings, Marlys, Marilyn, Frank Jr., Sonny, Judy and Larry.
Greg will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will live on through the love he shared, the laughter he brought and the many special moments spent together.
