Gary Miller

Gary R. Miller, 80, of Brainerd passed away November 8, 2024, at Essentia Health- St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd.

Memorial services were held November 16 at Oak Street Chapel in Brainerd.

Gary was born November 20, 1943 to Rodney W. and Charline (Cruse) Miller in Staples. After graduating from Staples High School, he entered the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. Gary owned and operated his own Upholstery business for many years. He enjoyed everything outdoors: fishing, hunting, as well as being an avid motorcyclist.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne; six children, Mike (Sherry) Miller, Joshua (Shannon) Miller, Traci (Shawn) Xurvein, Michelle Klatt, Penny (Mark) Leadens and Jackie (Tim) Winterfeld; foster son, John Gay; Dianne’s children, Kelly (Jacoby) Holmes, Jayme Holmes and Kim (Kevin) Larson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four siblings, Rodney D. (Sharon) Miller, Scott (Tammy) Miller, Beth (Tom) Yule and Janell Miller; one brother-in-law and good friend, Wayne Wooden and many nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ross Miller and one son, Curt Klatt.
