Fae Bostrom

Fae Bostrom, 91, passed away January 31, 2023, at her home in Blaine. 

Funeral services were held February 9 at the Church of Christ in Staples.

Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Browerville.  

Fae Ann was born August 15, 1931 on a hot day. She was one of two children of Lester and Agnes (Hlatke) Kastonek of Browerville. She attended grade school and then stayed home to help care for the family. She later met a young man named Harold Bostrom. He caught her heart and the two were united in marriage on July 2, 1952. Their union was blessed with two children, Betty and Brian. Fae stayed home with her little ones until they were older. She later took a job working at a local nursing home.

Family was everything to Fae. When she was not working, she was making memories with them. She loved to attend the Great Minnesota Get Together - the state fair. A meal out was often joined with a conversation, listening and enjoying time with family and friends. She was caring, a good listener and role model for others. A lover of animals, typically having a dog or cat as a companion. She was as precious as a delicate rose and will be deeply missed by her family, friends and four-legged animals that sat by her side.

She leaves behind one daughter, Betty Bostrom; one son, Brian (Shelly) Bostrom; two grandchildren, Scott (Katie) Bostrom and Jennifer Bostrom; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Savanah and Isabella and one sister, Phyllis Paskewitz. 

She was joined in Heaven by her husband, Harold; parents; one brother, Gene Kastonek; her beloved dogs, Penny and Cocoa and Mitzi, the long living cat.

Arrangements for Fae were with the Iten Funeral Home of Browerville.
