Donna Miller

Donna Joanne (Greeno) Miller, 97, of Staples went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, July 28 at 4 p.m. at the Staples United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

Donna was born November 21, 1928 to Lillian Greeno in Staples. She attended Staples Public Schools and graduated in 1946. She married L.J. (Pat) Miller July 17, 1948 at the United Methodist Church in Staples. They had three children, Kenneth, Douglas and Jon. Donna worked at the Staples State Bank for three years until she became pregnant with her first son. In 1964 she began working with her husband in his photography business, completing administrative tasks.

Donna enjoyed traveling with Pat, taking trips to Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, Greece and around the United States. Many trips were on Pat’s Harley Davidson motorcycle. Donna played piano and organ for 70 years for Sunday services, Sunday school, Christmas programs, church choir, weddings and funerals at the Staples United Methodist Church. She loved and served the Lord Jesus with all her heart. She was a prayer warrior whose faith guided her life, a beautiful ministry of music, faith and service, devoted, above all, to glorifying God. Through years of dedication, she shared her gifts with humility and joy, allowing every song, every act of kindness and every moment of service to reflect the light of Christ within her. Those who knew Donna saw in her a faithful heart, generous spirit and a love for the Lord that touched countless lives. Her music was more than a talent - it was a testimony, a gift offered in worship and a source of encouragement to all who were blessed to hear it. Donna was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Donna had a huge gift of hospitality and opened her home to many foreign exchange students. She is loved and will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

Donna is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Kathleen) Miller and Jon Miller; two grandchildren, Michael (Marissa) Miller and Lindsey Miller and five great-grandchildren, Taylonee South, Kendrick South, Theo Miller, Gus Miller and Luna Miller.

Donna is preceded in death by her mother; husband; one son, Douglas Miller; one great-grandson, Jaylen Coward and one uncle, Kenneth Greeno.
