Cristi Anderson
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cristi Lynn (Wonders) Anderson, 50, of Champlin.
Cristi suffered a massive stroke on September 24 and passed away October 1, 2025.
Mass of Christian burial was held October 17 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Brooklyn Park.
Burial was held at the Champlin City Cemetery.
Cristi was born December 22, 1974 to Jerry and Gayle Wonders of Staples. She was welcomed home by her older sister, Jill on Christmas morning. She attended Sacred Heart School and Staples-Motley High School graduating in 1993. She attended Moorhead State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health in 1997. After college, she moved to Plymouth where she began working at Placement Pros. It was there that she met the love of her life, Jayme Anderson and they were married on September 15, 2001. The couple had three children, Carly, Caden and Lexi, whom were their world.
Jayme passed away in May of 2012 after his long struggle with a brain tumor. After his death, Cristi took on her role as a single mom with all the love and determination of making them her number one priority. They were her world and she became super mom, attending all of their activities and joining various activity boards, mom groups and was a volunteer extrordinaire.
For the last 15 years, Cristi worked at Vocational Restoraion services of Brooklyn Center. She loved her job and clients and especially the people she worked with. Cristi was probably best known for her infectious laugh. We could always find her in a store, because you could hear her laugh throughout. She enjoyed reading, although as busy as she was she would listen to audio books while in the car to make the most of her time. She enjoyed traveling, holidays, the Hallmark channel, puzzles, card and board games, watching football, coordinating fantasy football leagues and just being with her people having fun and enjoying the time spent together.
Carly (20), Caden (18) and Lexi (16) are supported by their grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, James and countless friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and faith - a life well lived and a soul well loved.
In lieu of flowers, an education fund will be set up for Carly, Caden and Lexi.
