Clarence Blahosky
Clarence “Kelly” E. Blahosky, 85, passed away June 14, 2018, at Assumption Home in Cold Spring.
Services were held June 18 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring.
Clarence was born May 11, 1933 in Staples to Clarence J. and Beulah (Johnson) Blahosky. He married Doris Darr on October 25, 1953 in Fergus Falls. He served in the military during the Korean Conflict as a fireman. He owned a barber shop in Benson, then moved to Cold Spring and worked as an AAA salesman until his retirement.
Clarence played in a men’s over-35 basketball league until the age of 72, he coached women’s softball, watched the Vikings, Twins and Rocori sports. He enjoyed metal detecting and his backyard bird sanctuary. He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years; one daughter, Sandy (Roy) Willard; son-in-law, Dan Weis; five grandchildren, Kelly Weis, Tracie Weis, Justin Willard, Benjamin Willard, Nicholas Willard; two great-grandchildren, Henry and Maggie; one sister, Shirley (Keith) Johnson and one brother, Gerald “Punk” (Monie) Blahosky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Leroy Blahosky; one sister, Sharon Holder; one daughter, Lynda Weis and one son, Brian Blahosky. w33p A00006B2018AUG16
