Charles R. Hanson
Charles (Charlie) Ray Hanson, 73, of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, passed away January 7, 2025 of brain cancer.
Charles was born October 8, 1951 in Wadena to Donald and June (Dumpprope) Hanson of Leader. He graduated from Staples High School in 1970 and went to work in Minneapolis. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Germany.
Charlie was a talented carpenter, building homes and stone fireplaces.
He is survived by four sons, Ryan of Piedmont, SD, Eric (Loni) of Red Lodge, MT, Christopher (Heidi) of Billings, MT and Jamie of Belle Fourche, SD; one daughter-in-law, Deb Mammenga of Staples; five sisters, Jeanne (Steve) Dailey of Verndale, Peggy (John) Sirucek of Staples, Glenda (Gary) Dauer of Leader, Connie (kenny) Winter of Verndale, Leasha (Bryon) Nyland of Leader; one sister-in-law, Donna Hanson of Staples; three brothers, John of Motley, Dale of Staples and Larry (Laura) of Motley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Stacey Mammenga; one infant sister; one brother, Rick; one sister-in-law, Denise Hanson; one brother-in-law, Al Clark and one niece, Emmi Hanson.
