Carol Gosse
Carol ‘Sue’ (Harkcom) Gosse, 67, passed away on February 4, 2022, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. A Funeral Service for Sue will be on Saturday February 12, 2022 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples at 2:00pm. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Evergreen Hill in Staples.
She was born on September 14, 1954, to Floyd and Mildred Harkcom. Sue married Herbert Gosse in 1970, and they had two children together. She divorced in 1998 and has shared her life with Brian Mahaffey for many happy years. Sue was a proud cancer survivor and in remission for six months before her passing. Sue loved gardening and yearly plant sales, making cards with friends, and she enjoyed throwing darts on league nights. She also loved winning at her favorite dice game, which kept her spirits up during her hospital visits and bouts with pneumonia. She is loved by many, and we all are grieving our sudden and great loss. Fly free and breathe easy, Sue!
Sue is preceded in death by her older brothers Wayne and Harold Harkcom.
She is survived by her younger brother James Harkcom, her daughters Traci (Robert) Backmann and Krystena Wall, her grandchildren Suzanne, Caleb, DJ, Brionni, Hayley, Liberty, and Madison, her great grandchildren Isaac, Nathan, Mira, Hayden, Caroline, and a baby boy due to arrive in March.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
