Bernice Weishalla

Bernice Weishalla, 81, of Browerville, passed away December 22, 2023, peacefully in her sleep.

Bernice was born August 28, 1942, in Fawn Lake Township. She graduated from Staples High School in 1960. She married Leon Weishalla on June 3, 1961 and they had two children. They moved to Minneapolis where Bernice worked at Lavoris Factory before moving back to the Staples/Browerville area in 1967. She worked at Wards, Stearns Dress Shop and Longbella Drug.

In her free time, Bernice loved gambling, decorating - especially at Christmas and baking desserts - which she was good at.

Bernice is survived by two daughters, Wanda (Mike) Schull and Cathy (Ed) King; five grandchildren, Cheri (Joey Cannataro) Schull, Chris (Sarah) Schull, Cassandra (Nathan) Perez, Samantha (Tyler) King and Megan King; five great-grandchildren, Callie Schull, Sage Perez, Braylyn King, Mia Perez and Ayden King-Hosch; two sisters, Bonnie Adamek and Linda Bartylla; one brother, Marv Kowalski; one brother-in-law, Gale (Donna) Weishalla; two sisters-in-law, Rita Weishalla and Barb Peterson and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Weishalla; parents, Clyde Sarff, Emma and Louie Kowalski.

Arrangements are by the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
