Benedict Ray

The Mass of Christian Burial for Benedict Ignatius Ray, infant son of Isaac and Martha (Shively) Ray of rural Wadena, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena with Fr. Gabriel Walz presiding. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to Mass on Saturday.

Young Benedict, born July 21, 2022, lived one month and 19 days with a genetic complication diagnosed prior to birth. He passed at home with his parents, brothers and sisters, under the gentle care of Lakewood Homecare and Hospice of Staples.

Burial will be held at a later date in St. Mathias Parish Cemetery, Ft. Ripley, Crow Wing County.
