Barbara Anderson

Barbara Louise (Fellman) Anderson, 76, of Hastings, passed away peacefully January 10, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.

Memorial services were  held January 17 at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings.  

Interment was at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings. 

Barb was born September 16, 1945 in Staples. She  grew up in Motley and moved to Hastings in 1960 where she met the love of her life, Avard Robert “Andy” Anderson. They married on August 24, 1963. Barb enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In the summer you would find them around the pool at her home. She enjoyed fishing and relaxing at their cabin and occasionally seeing her classmates in Motley. Barb loved quilting and was an avid cook/baker. 

Barb is survived by her husband; two daughters, Deb (Wayne) Stevens and Cathy (Henry) Halfen; one son, Mike (Tracey) Anderson; five grandchildren, Robert (Samantha) Anderson, Stephen Anderson, Susie Halfen, Jake Anderson and Jenna Anderson; four great-grandchildren, Henryk, Lorelie, Lydia and Leif; three sisters, Patty (Duane) Rother, Jeannie Holub and Becky (Greg) Smith and  many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Louise Fellman, Leo Fellman and Margaret Heisler.  

Arrangements were by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
