Gary Leonard Nytes, 77, of New Prague, formerly of Staples, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at Mayo Hospital in New Prague, surrounded by his loving wife and family after a courageous battle with myelofibrosis, a rare bone marrow cancer.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 17, at St. Wenceslaus Church, 215 Main Street East, New Prague, MN 56071. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will take place immediately following Mass at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, 300 4th St. NE, New Prague.
Family and friends are invited to join us for a luncheon afterward at the KC Hall, 411 4th Ave. SW, New Prague.
