Keith Greenwaldt
Keith Warren Greenwaldt, 59, of Staples, passed away March 17, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
Funeral services were held March 21 at the Free Methodist Church, Motley.
Keith was born June 14, 1965 the son of Gordon Greenwaldt, Sr. and Lyda Cocking in St. Louis Park.
Keith grew up in Motley/Staples area. The family moved to Lonsdale/Montgomery for a few years and moved back to Staples during his freshman year of high school. Keith was involved in football and wrestling during his high school years. After high school he moved to Sydney, Montana with his brother Gordy, working various jobs until he returned home. He began working in construction (sewer and water). Most of his career he spent working in the Twin Cities during the week and spending the weekends and winter months with his four children until his retirement in 2023. In early November of 2017, Keith met the love of his life, Lori Ammend. Together they traveled to North Carolina and made countless trips to Duluth.
Keith was always up for a game of cards and had a thermos of coffee ready at moment’s notice to go somewhere. He enjoyed his 12 grandchildren and was involved in their activities - wrestling, basketball, musicals and plays. He was known for his great sense of humor and one-line jokes.
Left to cherish Keith’s memory is the love of his life, Lori Ammend; two sons, Seth (Kerrie) Greenwaldt and family Elijah, Leah, Eva and Lane; and Ethan Greenwaldt; two daughters, Simone (Travus) Faulkner and family Emmit, Naudia, Jonathan, Jacob and Joey; and Elsie (Josh) Jeffery and family Liam, Abraham and Amelia; two brothers, Gordy (Mary) Greenwaldt and Wade (Dayna) Greenwaldt; three sisters, Linda Doucette, Cindy and Cheryl.
Preceding Keith in death were his mother, Lyda Cocking; father, Gordan Greenwaldt, Sr.; one brother, Joel Greenwaldt and one brother-in-law, Larry Doucette
