Mitchell Braith

Beloved son, brother, grandson and nephew Mitchell Braith, 24, of Staples passed away unexpectedly March 27, 2024 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 5, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Staples. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 4 at Taylor Funeral Home, Staples from 4 to 7 p.m. and again one hour prior to services at the church.

Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples. 

Mitchell Albert Braith was born October 18, 1999 at Lakewood Health System Hospital, Staples to Scott and Cindy (Sjodin) Braith.

Mitchell was raised and lived in Staples. He attended Staples-Motley School, graduating with honors in 2018. He went on and attended CLC in Brainerd and received his AA Degree with honors. Mitchell was currently employed at Jon’s Family Foods, Staples, until the time of his passing.

Mitchell enjoyed and was knowledgeable in computers, art, history, hunting, guns, researching and DC Comics...ask him ANY question, if he knew it or not, he would find out the answer.

Mitchell was sweet, loving, tender hearted, compassionate and loved having conversations with people that crossed his path. To have known Mitchell was to have known his kindness and love.

Mitchell will be forever loved and remembered by his dad, Scott (Kim Petrich); mother, Cindy; one sister, Topanga Braith; grandmothers, LaDonna Sjodin and Kay (Grandpa Dave) Jessop; grandfather Terry Braith; fur buddy “Peanuts:’ aunts and uncles, Misty Sjodin, Tory Sjodin, Chris (Denise) Sjodin, Ty Sjodin, Kyle (Jenny) Braith, TJ (Mandy) Braith; also cousins and many good friends.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Sjodin.

Arrangements are by the Taylor Funeral Home, Staples.
