Citizens Against Drugs seeks local coalition

The Staples Citizens Against Drugs will offer a coalition presentation on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at noon at the Staples Police Department

The presentation will answer some of the following questions: 

o What’s the difference between coalitions and programming?

o  Why build a coalition? 

o What are the organizational essentials for coalition work? 

o Are there plans for coalition work in Staples?  

The Citizens Against Drugs meet every month with a new topic for each meeting.

The community is invited to attend this presentation, and all of CAD’s monthly meetings. The CAD coalition’s work is just starting in Staples and the group is seeking members from several sectors of the community.

The group stems from the Todd County Citizens Against Drugs coalition, a grant-funded enterprise that has members in other Todd County communities. The group has worked on community assessments, town hall meetings, youth leadership and the knowledge, attitudes and perceptions of drugs in the communities.
