Phyllis Colvin

Phyllis Colvin, 87, of Staples passed away March 11, 2022, at the Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. 

Burial will be in the Motley Cemetery. 

Phyllis Mae was born  May 16, 1934, to James and Hazel Converse of Motley in the Brainerd Hospital.

She enjoyed bowling and crocheting. All of her grandchildren and great-grand children received a blanket which she crocheted.

She is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Lynn) Mathewson, New York Mills, Scott (Sally) Mathewson, Motley and Paul Mathewson, Carthage, NC; one daughter, Janine (Darrel) Corey, Dakota; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Debra (Rick) Wilhelm, Richland Hills, TX and Mona (Bill) Moyer, Vancouver, WA; one step-son, Hugh (Karen) Colvin, Glendale, CA and five step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Mathewson; parents; grandparents and four husbands, Ralph Mathewson, Frank Stefanoc, Dale Dorsch and the love of her life, Bill Colvin.

Arrangements are by the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
