Seven people in two car crash

On Aug. 13, just after 8 p.m., the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries in Section 24 of Thomastown Township.
A 2018 Nissan Rogue, driven by an 88 year old male of rural Staples was driving on McGivern Drive when it collided head-on with a 2007 Toyota Camry, driven by a 17 year old female of Staples. The Nissan Rogue had two occupants while the Camry had a total of five juvenile occupants, with no serious injuries reported.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office. Assisting on scene was the Staples Police Department, Todd County Sheriff’s Office, Staples Fire Department, Lakewood Ambulance and Scott’s Southtown Towing.
