To make room for the new Timberlake Hotel in Staples, the hotel builders, the Ives family, donated the house on the property to the Staples Veterans Park Association. The park board had considered using the house for a museum/education center, but instead moved it to a lot on Airport Road owned by former board member Jack Wilson. They hope to sell the home as a fundraiser. The work was don by Leighton House Moving.
