Bike rodeo, family trail ride, May 19

The Staples Area Friends of the Trails will hold a Bike Rodeo/Family Trail Ride, Thursday, May 19, from 5-7 p.m. meeting at the Jon’s Family Foods and Staples True Value parking lot, off Warner Road in Staples.
This free event will have a bike skills course for kids, a basic maintenance inspection by Jake Capistrant of Jake’s Bikes in Alexandria, food and an opportunity to ride the bike trail.
The Lakewood Health System will also be there with a bicycle helmet give-away for kids.
The event coincides with Ride Your Bike To Work Week, May 16-20. Students are encouraged to ride their bikes to school that week.
