Thomas Roberts

Thomas “Tom” Roberts, 69, of Motley, passed away June 5, 2022, at Centra Care Hospital in St. Cloud.

Memorial services will be held July 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Free Methodist Church in Motley.

Tom was born November 8, 1952 to Bill and Irma (Steege) Roberts in Minneapolis. He grew up in Mound, graduated from Mound High School in 1971. He met Patsy Tepley and they were married September 4, 1976. They made their home in Mound. They had two children, Thomas Roberts and Ryan Roberts. They moved to Motley in 1985 where Tom worked at Morey’s, Bremer’s Bar and the City of Motley. He was a member of the Motley Fire Department for 10 years. 

Tom enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had an amazing sarcastic sense of humor that all will remember. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, going to Twins and Vikings games, all with his boys. He enjoyed helping the community through work and the fire department.

Tom is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patsy Tepley Roberts; two sons, Thomas (Duffy) and Ryan (Sarah); one sister, Sue Roberts; one brother, Rick; three grandchildren Calie, Trip and Lydia and nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents. 

Arrangements are by the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
