Gary Rohr

Gary Michael Rohr, 73, of Staples, peacefully passed away July 15, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples at 11:00 a.m. with Father Gabriel Walz officiating. There will be lunch and fellowship following the service. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, July 22 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples from 5:00  to 7:00 p.m. and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.

Gary was born June 1, 1949 to Herman, Jr. and Betty (Worden) Rohr in Wadena. On December 11, 1971, Gary married Jeanne Dalen and together they had four sons. He held a number of jobs during his career including head cook for the Motley Schools, designing trusses and retired from Central Lakes College as a custodian.

He enjoyed a quiet, peaceful lake to go fishing, venturing into the woods to go hunting and a good round of golf with friends. Gary was known for his excellent pie baking skills, love of cooking and was great at canning. He was skilled on the guitar and enjoyed playing for friends and family. 

Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanne;  three son, Jeremy (Cynthia), Chad (Jolene) and Michael; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Laura, Lucas, Jason and Zachary. He will be missed by many friends, especially his neighbors Berkley and Brixton.

His is preceded in death by one son, Jason; parents; two brothers, Larry and Greg and his step-dad, Clair Theisen.

Arrangements are by the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
