Delores Horn
Delores E. (Lambert)Horn, 89, of West Fargo, died June 2, 2023, at Eventide Sheyenne Crossings, West Fargo.
Funeral services will be held Weds., June 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the Community Presbyterian Church, West Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
Delores Elaine Lambert was born October 2, 1933 to John and Olga (Hill) Lambert in Aldrich.
She graduated from Verndale High School in 1951.She worked for First National Bank in Minneapolis until May 1953. Delores married LeRoy Robert Horn on May 15, 1953. They lived in Fargo until the tornado of 1953 when they moved to West Fargo.
Delores worked for NDSU from July 1956 until July of 1997, where she was presented with the Blue Key Dr. of service award in 1985.
She was active in the VFW Auxiliary #7564 where she was president from 1962-1964. She was active in her church, Community Presbyterian Church, West Fargo, ND, where she severed several terms as elder and on various other committees.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, reading and cooking.
She is survived by one daughter, Kristi (Damien) Dixon, Weatherby Lake, MO and their three children, Grant, Evan and Elizabeth; one brother-in-law, Richard Horn, New England, ND and many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death, by her husband, LeRoy; one daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Lyle Grossnickle; parents; two brothers, Darrell (Lucille) and John (Virginia) and two sisters, Shirley (Joe) Vasquez and Audrey (Lewis) Jensen.
The family requests that memorials be given to Community Presbyterian Church, West Fargo, ND.
